NAS Oceana Air Show – Introduction

The NAS Oceana Air Show features the Navy’s first flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, and the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team. The U.S. Naval Air Show is our opportunity to give back to our military families and communities. We look forward to welcoming visitors from across the country and around the world aboard the Navy’s premier East Coast jet base to experience first-hand the wonders of flight and meet the extraordinary men and women of Naval Aviation. ”

This year’s theme is “50 Years of Women in Naval Aviation,” paying tribute to all female Navy trailblazers, from the “first six” recipients of the Medal of Gold Wings in 1973 to the brave women who have chosen to serve their country in the air since. Our nation and Navy are stronger because of their service.

Today, our female pilots project power from the sea in aircraft of all types, models and series. They fly and fight in all strike missions, hunt submarines, protect the integrity of our nuclear triad, deliver essential cargo and personnel to every corner of the globe, and rescue those in distress at sea and ashore.

The NAS Oceana Air Show showcases an incredible array of aerial displays. On the ground, visitors can admire an impressive display of aircraft.
